I know what you're thinking. "Mary, it's 12:14 AM. You missed a day." Technically, yes, I did. And, actually, I feel awful about it. I had a two and a half hour time period that I chose to watch Lincoln instead of do work. Then I did half work half-writing notes for the Music Man cast.
Ultimately, I'm saying that I feel bad and it's not okay to miss this blog that has totally shaped and formed me and continues to do so, even in the smallest of ways. However, it does not good to beat myself up over it. We set goals all the time, right? Right. And sometimes there are obstacles that get in the way that we have no control over. And sometimes we get in our way. In this case, I got in my way. I could have done it early this morning. I could have done it earlier this afternoon. I could have not gone to Applebee's after The Music Man and came back to write it before the day was over.
But, alas, I didn't. I went. Do I regret going? I guess not. But I do regret not doing the blog this morning. So, I'm going to take that note. To ensure this happens, I'm going to start these in the mornings. Why not? It'll keep me more on track with them and allow room for thought. And, what a great way to start the day, right?
Internet, please forgive me for missing a day. As a token of my apology, I will be still posting one (later today) tomorrow. Thank you so much for sticking around and being supportive.
Thank you,
Mary Taylor
A great bit I am reminded of every time the pastor asks us to get out our hymnals.
